The Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) practice at Applied Security, Inc. (ASI), led by renowned expert Harlan Carvey, focuses on the insider threat—human and electronic—to corporate intellectual property and critical data assets. Harlan and his team are ready to assist clients by acting as trusted advisers and assisting clients in understanding how to immediately respond to inevitable and potentially devastating computer security incidents.

As a part of our DFIR offerings, Harlan and his team work with our clients to prepare for and immediately respond to incidents through training, pre-positioning of sensors, and on-going analysis of host and network data to monitor for early warning signs of malicious activity. Our approach significantly reduces response time and cost, quickly providing valuable information and answers when an incident occurs.
